Exploding Brainiacs Science Camp was created by me, Addy Henninger.  I will be a sophmore in high school this upcoming year. I love teaching kids about science and doing experiments, and so does my team of 6th - 10th-grade counselors.  The camp's purpose is to teach kids about science while they are doing fun and awesome experiments! All activities are hands-on and most likely your child won't even know they are learning! We also incorporate fun games and popsicle breaks.

chemistry in the kitchen

july 27 - 31, grades k-5

2-4:30 PM

Explore the science behind baking as we create delicious experiments in the kitchen.  We will explore the roles of common ingredients in baked goods.  From creating the perfect chocolate chip cookie to making homemade marshmallows, we will be learning the chemistry behind these treats!

More dates to come in fall 2020, grades k-5

3:00-3:30 pm (for those who have already completed week one!)

Every day we will be doing awesome experiments together on zoom!  This is a great way to continue learning and have fun doing it while schools are closed.  From homemade lava lamps to fizzing slime, this is a week packed with science fun.
